Aniah’s Empowered Angels would love to thank ICARE Mrs Lucy McKenzie and all of the other organizations for allowing Aniah And her Angels ( Volunteers ) which were myself (mom) her NaNa, Aunts, Cousins, Close friends of family, one which was the photographer Resina Dunn-Richards who took these beautiful photos to be apart of something so beautiful in the gift of giving. This Thanksgiving Outreach at The Bridge in Dallas truly made each of us more grateful for the things we do have. Seeing so many in need of shelter, clothes, shoes, personal items, food nearly brought tears to our eyes. We will never forget the little boy who was so excited to receive a pair of socks, we will never forget the man who was so grateful to receive a pair of converse tennis shoes that was full of paint/ dirt, who walked off smiling as if he had a new pair of Jordan’s. ( Yet so many are caught up In the brand). We will never forget the smiles on many faces. Most importantly we will never forget to be thankful, there’s always someone worse off than you. We are all God’s people and we should love and support one another. As Aniah’s Empowered Angels mother I am proud and greater than thankful to have a 11yr old daughter nonprofit business owner who genuinely gives from her heart, and cares about those in need. I am also proud of my family who stepped in to support Aniah . The younger 2 being 5&6 who was so understanding of what was going on and stood handing out socks as well. We also thank Fellowship Christian Center Church once again for helping Aniah collect 511 pairs of socks 4 souls. We love each of you! Aniah’s Christmas event MAKE A CHILD SMILE will be Dec. 3 if you would like to participate and or donate please friend her, and browse page for more information.
It was a very humbling experience and to stand there and pass out socks and see the smiles on so many faces and the gratitude of the people touched our hearts in a way that had tears to our eyes, my baby sister Sharon Holley Berry, both of her grand daughters, our great niece, our friend Sina and her daughters, my oldest grand daughter and last but certainly not Least my daughter Ebonies who refuse to take pictures lol my heart was so happy for helping my grand baby, we all said and to think we have the nerve to complain wow is all I can say. Thanks to Mrs. Lucy for the experience.
Help uplift the homeless in your community
Whether you make a donation or raise funds on our behalf, volunteer at the shelters, or promote our cause through your workplace, there is a way for everyone to get involved.
Take part in an event and raise money to help us to continue to provide support for our homeless or organize a collection of food or toiletries.
Volunteers are the lifeblood of ICARE Operation. They help serve our homeless food and drinks, socks and spend time listening to people.
Thank you for the extra pair of socks, and water.
Thank you for remembering us out here. These socks will keep my feet warm.
